Iran's The Messiah

For the second week-end of the new year, Cinema in the Open-Air, in its partnership with the Cultural Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Film Development Council of the Philippines, presents “The Messiah” on January 7, 2012 (Saturday).

"The Messiah” is the first film which gives an Islamic view of Jesus Christ, in order to show the common ground between Muslims and Christians. The film emphasizes the links between Jesus and one of the most important figures in Shiite Islam, the Imam Mahdi, said to have disappeared 12 centuries ago. It is believed that he will return with Jesus.

Admission to the Cinema in the Open-Air is free of charge.
Screening time is at 7:00 p.m., at the Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium, Manila.
