This is my concept and you don't need to spend too much money to achieve it. I want to share to everyone how to get the things that you want (which are almost for free) and in the same time to save more money.

Some people say that everything has a price to pay. Look at the brighter side. 
The air you breathe, the sun that gives Vitamin K and light during the day, the moon that gives light during night time, the bodies of water like oceans and seas... those are FREE, right? Lets be thankful and not abuse the gifts of nature to us. 

Look for freebies or product samples.  You can get different product samples on the streets, groceries, shopping malls, trade fairs and even online. http://www.thefreebiegroup.com (US and UK residents, worlwide available).

Send e-cards during special occassions. You can customize it according to your recipient's occassion(brithday, wedding, get well, etc.), attitude and taste. It's free, fast and easy. There's a lot of e-card sites now over the internet. Go get it. 

 
Join raffle contests.  There are some raffle contests that may require some purchase requirements but these are minimal amount only. I have been lucky and won so many times since I was a kid. I have won some gift certificates for groceries, shopping, dining and even 5star hotel accomodations! These days, online raffle and competitions are in! 
I also have won some cinema passes, even some appliances like turbo broiler, TV and some gadgets like cellphone and an mp3 player. Some pre-launch websites also conduct electronic raffle and I also have won.  Some raffle contests don't need to buy anything to enter the raffle so go ahead and try your luck, there's no harm in trying.

Swap your unwanted item/s. On some online auction sites like eBay, you can see people who would like to swap their unwanted item/s with other's unwanted item/s. If you want your unwanted item for an upgrade, you may add some cash (depending on the person's advertisement on his/her item/s).

Drop your business card and get a free meal.  Some fastfoods or restaurants have a small glass bowl near the cashier, filled with business cards. Every month, they make a raffle and pick a lucky winner. So the next time you go to a fastfood/restaurant, roam your eyes around the cashier's counter and if you see a glass bowl, drop your business card and get a free meal.

Free gourmet food for couples.  If you are marriage-minded couples, there are a lot of caterers that offer free gourmet food tasting for soon-to-wed couples. So go ahead and satisfy your palette.

Cheap Date Ideas

Maybe you and your sweety are on a tight budget but want to go out and have some bonding together? Going out doesn't have to be expensive, there are some ways that you and your lovey-dovey can go out and enjoy time being together. Valentines' Day is almost near so I have listed some ideas of "cheap dating"

Have a walk at the park.  Being at the park is so much fun. You can also have a picnic at the park or watch some free concerts there.

Go to the bay or lake and watch the sunset.  It may sound hopeless romantic but I really enjoy this kind of date, you can also talk about everything under the sun.




Read a book in a coffee shop. Get a book that both interest you and read it together in a coffee shop. 

Visit a fruit farm and do some fruit picking. Me and my previous boyfriend went to a Strawberry Farm and we did some fruit picking there since we both like Strawberries.

Go biking, jogging or any sports that you both like to do. You don't only bond together but you also make yourselves fit in the same time. Its great to look good, not just for your partner but its also for your own good.

A candle lit dinner at home. Dinner is always good if you or your partner will cook at home. It saves time and money. The best way to your partner's heart is through his/her stomach. 

Rent DVD movies and watch it at home. You can also cook some popcorn or pizza that you can munch while watching movies. Watching movies at your own convenience has always been so good.

Listen to a mellow or romantic music. The two of you can dance sweetly while listening to a romantic music.  You can also open a bottle of wine that you have at home. This is a good time to start a conversation between the two of you.

Go around the city by train. Me and my bf loves to go around places by train. No traffic and its cheap. So go ahead and lose yourselves . 

Play some board games. Yes you heard me games, we are not too old to play board games like Scrabble and Monopoly at home. Its also a good way of spending time together. 

Enjoy the time being together, that's what matters most!

How to Become a Money Magnet

I attended the Money Magnet Seminar yesterday at the SMX Convention Center with my sister and friends. It was a whole day seminar from 8am to 7pm and facilitated by John Calub, the speaker/trainer of the John Calub Training Inc.

I also attended his 2-hour free Keys to Success Seminar last October 19 at the Cinema 9 of SM Megamall with my friend Lyn so I got a discount with the 10 tickets of the Money Magnet Seminar.  I have invited friends to come over to the seminar. However, only 7 friends of mine came. Not bad though my 2 other friends were seating a bit far from us since they came late.

During the seminar, I learned a lot of things from Mr. John Calub. He tackled about the most common Filipino misconceptions about money, how to attract money (law of attraction), how to give (charity) and how to manage your money wisely. If you're a millionaire already and you don't know how to handle your money, you can spend it in 3 months only like the Filipino lotto winner of P14M. Which makes sense, right?

The reason why I attended this seminar is not only how to become richer, but I also like how the speaker/trainer delivers every bit of information. His presentations were very simple as a fact but he has a great sense of humor. You won't get bored or tired of listening to him. 

He also gave motivation and some right affirmations so that we can attract good things in life. He's a good and an effective trainer. I think no one in the seminar has fell asleep.

I can't disclose the information being taught during the seminar, you have to pay and attend it just like everyone else did. We were also supplied with training materials like manual, pen and a certificate.  It was all included in the Money Magnet Seminar ticket for the discounted price of PHP500 only (except meals, you have to provide that for yourself). Again, this is an all day seminar.

I highly recommend this seminar to everyone, young and old as long they have an open mind to absorb every information being given during the seminar. Barracuda Restaurant: Fab Birthday Lunch

It was my birthday yesterday and  I just turned 33 years old. I celebrated my birthday together with my two younger sisters and my sister's bf.  We had a 3-course Italian lunch at the Barracuda Restaurant. It's a fine dining restaurant in the Oasis Park Hotel. I like the interior and the ambiance of the restaurant though it was empty when we came in yesterday. 

So we were just the customers during lunch time.

I got 2 discount vouchers from Ensogo that I purchased last June for only P275 (regular price was P720). Each voucher was good for two persons though they have a different menu for Ensogo customers. I called them the day prior to my birthday for reservation as part of the voucher's fine print.

We were served with complimentary Foccacia bread with olive oil and pesto while waiting for our ordered food.

Our appetizer came, the Pumpkin and Carrot Soup. The soup was creamy and had croutons, not salty or sweet, just right. Yummy and healthy!

For the main dish, we ordered two different kinds so that we can taste the other dishes as well.  We ordered pasta and chicken for our main dishes. The Pesto Pasta with Zucchini and Bacon Roulade was good, its not too oily and the spices were just right for the taste.

We were surprised with the second main dish, the Chicken Afritada. It's not the usual Filipino dish as we know. It was different in some ways. The chicken meat was rolled and on top of a hash brown. The afritada sauce was at the side of the plate then garnished with carrot strips.

I have a sweet tooth and its like a treat for me after lunch on some special occasions like this. We had Apple Crumble. We like it though it has whipped cream and mint leaves. My sister doesn't like the mint leaves for some reasons. The dessert was not too sweet, so we had finished it. I love the mint leaves because as I chew it, it feels so fresh and cool in my mouth like I brushed my teeth :)

Their food was not bad at all, it was good though my favorite Italian restaurant is still Italianni's. The staffs were courteous and attentive to us. They even assisted us with an umbrella when we were about to board the taxi since it was raining yesterday. I think they lack some advertising for their establishment in order for them to be recognized.

We didn't have to pay for the service charge, we just provide them our Ensogo vouchers and off we go to SM Manila to catch a movie.  I love watching movies/films and that will never be skipped on my birthday.
